Shiva's rudraksha and Murugan's karungali, finished in silver for every day
4.54· 140 reviewsIn stock
Rudraksha was born from the tears of Lord Shiva. Karungali, the deep black ebony, is the wood of his son, Lord Murugan, who carries the Vel. Father and son, Shiva's calm and Murugan's courage, meet on this one bracelet.
Brown rudraksha and black karungali sit side by side, set between gleaming silver-plated accents. It looks as right at work as at the temple, so you can carry both Shiva's peace and Murugan's strength on your wrist, all day, every day.
Wear it, and keep both Shiva and Murugan on your wrist. People who wear this pairing speak of:
For Shiva and Murugan devotees, for anyone in a Mangal or Shani phase, and a meaningful gift for a father, son or brother.
These are traditional beliefs, lovingly kept, and not guaranteed results.
The first time: on a Monday, Shiva's day, or a Tuesday, Murugan's day; if you wear it for Shani, begin on a Saturday:
Which hand: traditionally men wear it on the right wrist and women on the left. If your family or guru follows a different custom, follow that.
The fit: it fastens with a secure metal lock, so it won't slip off as you go about your day. Make sure it clicks shut each time you wear it.
Care for it the way you care for your practice: gently, every day.
Many stores sell rudraksha and karungali bracelets. Here is what you get only with Arutra:
Is it good for Mangal dosha or Sade Sati?
In Vedic astrology, yes. Karungali is one of the most worn traditional remedies for Mangal (Chevvai) dosha, and the pairing is traditionally worn through Sade Sati and Shani Mahadasha. Begin on a Tuesday for Mangal, or a Saturday for Shani.
How do I know the beads are genuine?
Rudraksha beads have natural lines running from top to bottom, and no two are alike. Karungali is natural ebony: rub a bead on a damp white cloth and it should leave no colour. And scan the QR on your card to see this batch's lab report and packing video.
Is the silver real?
No. The accents are anti-tarnish silver-plated alloy, not solid silver. The rudraksha and karungali are natural and 100% authentic. Keep it away from water and perfume and the shine will last much longer.
Which hand should I wear it on?
Traditionally, the right wrist for men and the left for women. Men and women of every rashi wear it; follow your family's custom if you have one.
Can I sleep or bathe with it on?
We'd suggest taking it off. Water dries out the rudraksha and wears the plating over time.
